TEHRAN – Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Aragut held a series of high-level meetings with senior Saudi Arabian officials on Tuesday. This will include Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, Prince Harid bin Salman and Foreign Minister Fasal bin Fahan to discuss bilateral relations and the evolving local situation following the recent attacks by Ian Athan Attaian.

Amid a key diplomatic involvement, Foreign Minister Araguchi met with Saudi Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman on Tuesday evening. Both sides looked at the current trajectory of bilateral relations and explored pathways to strengthen cooperation.
Aragut highlighted Iran’s Islamic Republic’s firm commitment to strengthening relations with Saudi Arabia and other neighboring countries. He highlighted Iran’s preparations to expand cooperation in the economic, commercial and cultural fields.
Iran’s foreign minister thanked Saudi Arabia for his responsible stance condemning recent attacks against Iran. He also presented Iran’s perspective on the regional security environment following criminal military attacks by Israel and the US. He pointed it to us as a serious violation of the UN Charter, international law and the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT).
“These attacks have put an unprecedented risk across the West Asia region,” Araguchi said, highlighting the importance of a unified regional response. He noted that strong and coordinated condemnations from regional countries reflect a growing consensus on the need for collective action to counter the expansionist and militarist policies of Zionist regimes.
Crown Prince Mohammed Bin Salman welcomed the improved cooperation between the two Islamic forces and affirmed Saudi Arabia’s determination to continue this path. He emphasized Riyadh’s commitment to expanding relations across all sectors, and repeated Saudi Arabia’s condemnation of military attacks on Iran’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.
The Crown Prince emphasized that maintaining the security and stability of the region depends on dialogue and cooperation between neighboring countries. He added that Saudi Arabia will use all of its capabilities to prevent further escalation, pursue diplomatic solutions, and express preparedness to support wherever possible.
Araghchi thanked Riyadh for helping Haj during the crisis and encourages community unity
On Tuesday evening, Foreign Minister Araguchi held discussions between Saudi Arabia’s counterpart, Prince Faisal bin Fahan, and Jeddah.
The two diplomats exchanged views on bilateral ties and major regional development. Araguchi expressed his gratitude to the Saudi government for the outstanding organization of this year’s Hajj pilgrimage and for his valuable support in promoting the return of Iranian pilgrims following the logistical disruption caused by the recent Israeli attacks.
When condemning Israeli-American military attacks on Iran, Aragut reaffirmed his reaffirmation of deepening relations with Saudi Arabia in all areas of mutual interest and references the unified stance of the region and Islamic countries. He emphasized the common responsibility of regional countries to counter the threat posed by the militarism and hegemonic ambitions of the Israeli regime.
Aragut also condemned the continued massacre and genocide of the Palestinian people, the occupation of Islamic lands, and Israel’s attacks on Lebanon and Syria. He described the situation as an important factor driving local instability and took responsibility for making supporters of the apartheid regime possible for its crimes.
Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal reiterated Saudi Arabia’s principled stance, along with other regional states, condemned Iran’s violation of sovereignty and territorial integrity. He highlighted the need to prevent further escalations and confirmed that Saudi Arabia is ready to provide assistance to regional escalations.
Iran’s FM and Saudi Defense Minister hold strategic security talks
Earlier on Tuesday, Araguchi met with Saudi Minister of Defense Prince Khalid bin Salman. The discussion focused on positive momentum in bilateral relations and the security implications of recent US military attacks on Israel and Iran.
Araghchi welcomed the continued continued security and defense consultations between the two countries and described Prince Khalid’s recent visit to Tehran as a key step in deepening cooperation aimed at strengthening peace and stability in the region.
He vehemently condemned the Israeli regime’s attacks on Iran, including targeting peaceful nuclear facilities, calling them “unacceptable crimes and unprecedented assaults.” Araguchi thanked Saudi Arabia for his clear and firm condemnation of aggression.
He warned that the attack was a direct result of the Israeli regime’s long-standing immunity against crimes against Palestinians and persistent attacks on neighboring countries. Araguchi called on local states to take the dangerous consequences of Tel Aviv’s expansionist agenda seriously and to strengthen Indigenous mechanisms for local security.
Defence Minister Khalid repeatedly refusals and criticised Israel’s military attacks and extensions on the deaths of Israeli military personnel and civilians during the attack.
He also warned of the serious consequences of Israel’s recent violations of international law, highlighting the urgent need for greater cooperation among regional countries, and highlighting effective response to the sources of instability and instability.
