TEHRAN – Israeli occupation regime misuses silence of the international community, the Arab and Islamic world, and the absolute US support of taking over Palestinian lands on the West Bank, says Israeli expert Osman Abu Sobe.
He calls the settlement one of the strategic issues of the Zionist Project in the long term, and he notes that settlements are a means of controlling Palestinian lands and that they are given to the settlers. The goal behind this measure is to put pressure on the Palestinians and move them down, he lamented.
But the Palestinians will never leave their land, he added.
Pointing to the humiliating silence of the world, particularly those who claim democracy and human rights, Abu Sobe said these false claimants were linked to atrocities against Palestinians in Gaza and the West Bank and theft of Palestinian lands.
He called the shepherd’s settlement the most dangerous and explained that Zionist settlers were given flocks of sheep. They are even supported by money and weapons to stay in Palestinian pastures, he added.
Zionist settlers, with the support of the Army and police, leave no space for the Palestinian herds, causing economic hardships.
He said Palestinians, particularly Palestinians in Aria C in the Jordan Valley, were not supported.
Under the Oslo II Agreement, signed in Egypt in 1995, the West Bank was divided into A, B, and C.
Since the start of the Genocide War in Israel’s Gaza Strip in October 2023, Israeli occupation forces have raided almost daily and expanded military operations in the occupied West Bank.
Over the past two years, occupying forces have killed hundreds of Palestinians, destroyed hundreds of homes, and in 25 years have driven out tens of thousands of people in the most deadly attacks on the West Bank.
Shortly after the Israeli-Hamas ceasefire agreement came into effect on January 19, occupying forces launched new deadly military operations against several refugee camps on the West Bank, destroying homes and infrastructure and expelling more than 40,000 Palestinians.
