Speaking on the Presser on Monday morning, Esmaeil Baghaei, a spokesman for Iran’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, said Tehran has always maintained close and constructive ties with the South Caucasus region, particularly its neighbors in Azerbaijan and Armenia.
He emphasizes that Iran values friendship with his good neighbors and mutual interest, and naturally maintains contact with these countries about related developments, particularly direct or indirect influence on Iran.
He added that he has said that the peace agreement conclusions have been underway for some time and is not a new issue. Previous discussions have encouraged both sides to encourage signing peace agreements, as this agreement is considered a turning point for integrating peace and stability in the Caucasus region.
The spokesman added that a high-level consultation between Iranian and Armenian officials will be held tomorrow to give a clearer understanding of development and share Iran’s considerations and concerns with the Armenian side.
