Tehran – Deputy Tourism Minister Anuhilvan Mosenibandpei described the recent Armenia-Iran Cultural Festival as a step towards highlighting the relationship between food tourism and culture in Iran.
He saw the achievement as an action to combat Iranphobia and called the tourism industry the most important tool for cultural diplomacy, Milas Eyya (CHTN) reported on Sunday.
Meeting with the administrative teams of the Armenia and Iranian Cultural Environment Festival, this month marked the Navasad Festival, which was held in Armenia’s Sisian city, and was about Iran’s winning golden statue for the event.
“There were many other countries in this event, but the coordination established between the Ministry of Tourism’s general sector, including domestic Ministry of Tourism’s development, marketing and foreign tourism development, among other private activists related to the food tourism table has allowed us to be motivated and intentional at this event and succeed in achieving excellent results.”
“Also, studying Navasad events over the past few years has led to an increase in attendance, high competition and high quality of hosting this event, the interaction and coordination of the public and private sectors has allowed us to participate in this event with interaction, empathy, determination and enthusiasm.”
He added that despite the negative impact of the 12-day Israeli war on the tourism sector, the event was able to generate new dynamism and enthusiasm, “food is one of the influential elements in tourism and, in addition to being culturally related, it can demonstrate its importance even in Christie’s time, in addition to having a wide range of enthusiasts from across the country.”
Mohseni Bandpei said tourism can play an effective role in neutralizing Iranian phobia as the most important tool of cultural diplomacy.
He welcomed participation and participation in similar international events in Iran, particularly in countries with cultural affinity.
It is noteworthy that at the end of this conference, Moseni Bandopey presented a plaque of gratitude to all members of the Armenian-Iranian cultural style festival, who were able to properly introduce Iran.
