The group, led by the current ASEAN chairman, Malaysian military Attarie, has reported on Indonesian military Attarie, Lao military Attarie, Philippine military Assistance Attarie, Vietnamese military assistant Attarie and non-resident military aides in Singapore.
General Marie Sochita, the provincial and spokesman for Cambodia’s Secretary of Defense, said he will visit several locations in the province of Cambodia and Prievihaa to monitor the implementation of the recent ceasefire agreed by Cambodia and Thailand.
“The participation of these partner countries reflects a common desire to ensure that the ceasefire will be successful and that the goal will continue to regain peace, stability, cooperation and development for the benefit of the people of both countries,” she said at a press conference.
On July 24, an armed clash exploded between Cambodian and Thai soldiers in the border area. The two countries agreed to an immediate and unconditional ceasefire on the afternoon of July 28th, and came into effect in the middle of the night on the same day.
