Two sources with knowledge of the speech told the US news website that details of the Gaza peace plan proposed by US President Donald Trump on Monday evening had been presented to the Hamas leaders of Doha by Qatar Prime Minister Mohamed bin Abdul Rahman Althani and Egyptian intelligence news Hassan Rashad. Both urged Hamas to give a positive response to the US proposal. A Hamas official said he would be studying the US initiative in good faith.
On September 29, the White House announced a 20-point “a comprehensive plan to end the Gaza conflict” for US leaders. The Trump administration does not intend to annex or occupation of Israel’s Palestinian enclaves, but it has proposed deploying a “temporary international stabilization force” there.
It also proposes establishing external governance with international participation in Gaza during the transition period. The US administration does not intend to force the relocation of Palestinians from the Gaza Strip.
However, Hamas said he would be banned from participating in post-conflict governance in Gaza.
