TEHRAN – Direct flights between Tehran and Vienna are scheduled to resume early on Monday, November 3, after months of suspension, Imam Khomeini International Airport officials said.
Ramin Kashf Azhar, acting director of Imam Khomeini International Airport, told ISNA on Saturday that the Austrian airline will operate the first direct Vienna-Tehran flight early on Monday.
“The first direct flight between Vienna and Tehran will arrive on Monday morning and an Austrian airline will operate these services,” Kashf Azar said.
Flights between Tehran and Vienna were scheduled to operate four times a week on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays.
He further pointed out that Germany’s Lufthansa plans to resume its Tehran-Frankfurt service by mid-December. “Flights between Tehran and Frankfurt are expected to resume by mid-December.” The service will operate six days a week.
