Tehran – Ayatollah Seiyed Ali Khamenei, leader of the Islamic Revolution, expressed his sadness at the death of famous master miniatureist Mahmoud Falshuan.
In the posthumous message of Farsian, widely regarded as a master of modern Iranian painting, the leader described him as “a shining star in the sky of Iranian art.” Ayatollah Khamenei emphasized the deep faith and religious devotion of Faschian, noting that his talents were placed in the service of spiritual teaching and religious values, leaving behind a legacy of immortal works. He gave a palatable dol to the late artist’s family, students, and the arts community of the country.
Falsians are generally recognized for modernized Persian miniatures by using motifs from Iranian cultural and religious contexts.
In another message, Ayatollah Khamenei also expressed his grief over the death of longtime lawmakers, government officials and revolutionary activist Ahmad Tabakoli. The leader praised Tobakori as “a loyal and sincere brother.” His tireless efforts in the Congress, the government and other revolutionary institutions remain unforgettable by those who worked with him.
Ayatollah Khamenei prayed for both figures for God’s mercy and blessings, and conveyed sympathy to the family, friends, colleagues, and the broader cultural and political community of the nation.
