TEHRAN – The latest mural at Variasul Square in central Tehran was released on Thursday, showing an image of the leader of the Islamic Revolution.
Created by the OWJ art and media organization, the mural reflects national themes such as Iranian and Islamic lifestyles and resistance to arrogance. Media art is used to communicate these ideas, the IRNA reported.
According to graphic designer Mikaeil Barati, the concept behind “O Shining Love” is that the leader and family of Imam Hussein (AS) is like a life that flows through the heart of his hometown.
In line with the eve of Ashura, a mourning ceremony was held at Imam Khomeini Hussenieye, Tehran, attended by Ayatollah Khamenei and a diverse group of people. The event focused on the theme of resistance to oppression, particularly in the context of the 12-day Israeli attack on Iran.
During the ceremony, prominent pro-Mahmoud Karimi recited the poem, lamenting Imam Hussein (AS) and his martyrs. Finally, the leader encouraged Karimi to sing “Iran.” He responded with the patriotic chant “O Iran, Shining Love,” which elicited a widespread positive response on social media.
The composered and confident presence of leaders at the event has been widely praised by politicians, who described it as a relief and empowering state.
