In a statement Friday, Ayatollah Sistani said Israel’s latest attacks “again, prove the dangerous and aggressive nature of this regime.”
He urged the international community to “prevent such attacks from continuing by putting pressure on this seizing government and its supporters.”
Ayatollah Ali Al-Sistani also expressed sadness to all the families who lost their loved ones on the strike and reported that he wanted a quick recovery for the injured.
Since early Friday, Israel has been on strike in several Iranian cities, including Tehran.
The Israeli strike targeted many residential buildings in the Iranian capital as well as many sites in the northwest of Tabriz city, the western city of Holamabad, Kamanshah, Borgeld and Natanz central cities.
The attacks killed many military commanders, nuclear scientists and civilians.
Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei, the leader of the Islamic Revolution, said these crimes once again exposed the sleazy nature of the Tel Aviv regime, warning that the regime must now wait for “severe punishments.”
