Tehran – Demonstration of solidarity with the Palestinians The ongoing demonstrations against Israeli invasion in Gaza have erupted across cities around the world, calling for protests to end genocide, occupation and international accomplices.
Activists who launched a hunger strike under the “Strike for Palestine Justice” in Marseille, southern France on March 31, brought protests to Geneva, Switzerland, to raise international awareness and gather global support.
Pascal André, a French doctor, spoke to the Anadoru Agency about details of his hunger strike.
“We, along with many of our fellow citizens, began a hunger strike in Marseille on March 31. Since then we have traveled to 12 cities across France to open our doors,” said Andre, who has worked in Gaza since April last year.
In Berlin, Germany, thousands also answered calls from Gaza, filling the streets to show their strong opposition to the war in Gaza.
The Berlin immigration office said three European Union citizens and one American were forced to be deported from Germany this week over a lawsuit in protest against Israeli war in Gaza. Their case has not yet been heard in court.
Four demonstrators — two from Ireland, one from Poland and one from the US — received orders last month, directing them to leave Germany or be deported by April 21st. The Berlin Immigration Bureau says the deportation order is linked to the protest at Berlin’s Free University in October 2024.
The push for German deportations in support of Palestinians has drawn comparisons with the Trump administration’s handling of student protesters in the United States. By limiting the freedom of movement of three EU citizens, these deportation orders could clash with EU law.
In Britain, large crowds also gathered in Manchester to condemn the “genocide of the Zionist regime in Gaza.” Protesters also called for the release of detained anti-war activists across the country. In Glasgow, demonstrators chanted “end silence and accomplices,” urging the government and the international community to stand firm against Israeli attacks on Gaza.
In Sweden, thousands gathered in both Stockholm and Malmö, where thousands of people raised the Palestinian flag and ended the Israeli attack in Gaza. Participants emphasized the need for international action and accountability.
Similarly, a powerful demonstration was held in Utrecht, the Netherlands, where people condemned the “ongoing genocide in Gaza.” In Rotterdam, a child carrying a Palestinian flag was quietly rebelling against supporters of Israeli occupation. Similarly, in Lyon, France, demonstrators flooded the city, demanding an immediate halt to Israeli military operations.
Dublin has also witnessed a major gathering led by Irish health workers. Protesters condemned Israel’s actions and called for a stronger international response.
In Brussels, the capital of Belgium, protesters read “Stop Gaza” and carried banners, urging the suspension of Israeli military movements. Meanwhile, in Oslo, Norway, activists held a rigorous rally to commemorate the Palestinian children killed in Gaza.
North Africa also saw a large turnout as Tanguye, a northern Morocco city, witnessed a five-hour demonstration of normalising relations with Israel. Participants, including political and civil society activists, opposed occupation and cooperation with the Israeli regime, demanding a ban on the passage of Israeli military and commercial vessels through the Morocco seas.
In Asia, there was a slogan that helped Japanese activists gather in Tokyo and help Palestine reverberate in the capital. Activist Noosawa Yusuke continued his individual protests, calling for boycotts of multinational companies such as McDonald’s and accusing them of supporting the ongoing genocide.
In Jakarta, Indonesia, university students gathered in front of the US embassy to express their support for Gaza and condemn Washington’s continued support of Israel.
Back in Türkiye, a massive rally was held in Istanbul, denounced Israeli attacks and expressed unwavering support for the Palestinian people.
The coordinated demonstrations reflect global protests as Gaza’s humanitarian crisis deepens. Continental protesters demand accountability, immediate ceasefire, unlimited humanitarian access and accountability for “war crimes and crimes against humanity” committed against Palestinians in Gaza.
