“The current crisis is the most dangerous crisis that I have personally faced in Lebanon’s history,” Lebanese Parliament Speaker Nabi Berri said at a ceremony on Saturday.
“The only path to salvation is unity,” he emphasized.
The chairman stressed that the resistance has not fired a single shot in the past 11 months and that Lebanon is adhering to the ceasefire with the Zionist regime Israel. Has Israel complied with the ceasefire agreement?
Berri said the Zionist regime began its invasion of Lebanon in 2024 and signed a cease-fire agreement brokered by the United States two months later, which it has violated thousands of times.
According to the ceasefire agreement, Israeli forces were supposed to withdraw from southern Lebanon within 60 days, but the regime did not, continuing its military presence in five strategic locations in the region, contrary to international law, the chairman continued.
He later denied the allegations of arms smuggling by sea, land and air as completely false and baseless.
“These claims are made with the sole purpose of deceiving public opinion and creating unnecessary tension,” the speaker pointed out.
“Lebanon today faces a dangerous insurgency incited by people who have no compassion or compassion in their hearts,” he continued.
