Iranian writer asks Tehran spied on Gospel story of feeding 4000 people. If Christ were alive today, would he stay in the Vatican or sail to Gaza with the Freedom Fleet?
feed 4000
One of those days a large crowd gathered around him and they became hungry again. Jesus called his disciples to him and said, “I have compassion on the crowds, because they have been with me for three days already and have nothing to eat.”
His disciples were amazed.
Jesus asked, “How many loaves do you have?” They said, “Seven.” He then ordered the crowd to sit on the ground. Then he took the seven loaves, gave thanks, broke them, and gave them to his disciples. The disciples gave them to the people. They also found some small fish. He blessed them and told them to set them before the people.
And they all ate and were satisfied. And the disciples took up the seven baskets full of the remaining broken parts. And they were about 4,000 people. Then Jesus dismissed the crowd and immediately got into a boat with his disciples and entered the area of Dalmanutha.
Pharisees want a miracle
When the Pharisees heard that Jesus was coming, they gathered together to contend with him. To test him, they asked him for a sign from heaven to prove his authority. And Jesus sighed deeply in his spirit and said, “Why is this generation always asking for a sign? Truly, I say to you, I will not give it a sign.”
And he left them, got into a boat and crossed the lake.
The Pharisees and Herod’s Pun
However, the disciples forgot to take enough bread with them, and they had only one loaf in the boat.
As they were walking along the lake, Jesus warned them, “Beware of the yeast of the Pharisees and the yeast of Herod.”
So the disciples began to argue with each other about the fact that they did not have bread.
Jesus knew they were arguing with each other. So he said, “Why are you discussing the question of not having bread? Do you not yet see and understand? Is your heart so hardened that it cannot understand? You who have eyes, why do you not see?”
Why don’t you open your ears and listen? Remember how 5 people gave 5000 bread? How many baskets full of fragments are there? ” They answered, “12.”
He said, “When I give bread to the 4,000 for seven, how many baskets are there full of fragments?”
They said, “Seven baskets!”
He said, “Do you still not understand?”
I’m a university professor and a Muslim writer and director, but as much as I respect Prophet Muhammad, I also love other religious leaders and prophets, especially Moses and Jesus. I read books of old and new testimonies and quote them to my students.
It’s been a long time since we saw the ceremonial ceremony of your successor as Pope of Rome. Those big tables, the luxurious clothes, and the tranquility that begins in a secluded corner of a monastery and ends in Rome. In the New Testament, Christ, I know you. Not only did he feel compassion for hunger and thirst, he also traveled from city to city saving people from hunger. And this question grew in my mind. If you were present at the Vatican today instead of this revered Pope and his magnificent establishment, your successor, through your advisors, writes an invalid message on the Vatican site at nine o’clock, and then offers a prayer for the fierce people of Gaza, in whose sleep this sculpture fell asleep? Or, according to these same Bible stories, are you now on a ship bound for Gaza to bless the hungry children there?
Which is more true: your Bible writings or the actions of your successors?
If your successor really believed your Bible, he should be in the middle of the ocean and on this caravan ship.
I have the courage to say that these brave men and women of the global Sumud fleet are your true successors. Just like I don’t consider most of the leaders of Islamic countries to be followers of Muhammad and true Islam. Just like Netanyahu’s actions should not be linked to Moses or the Jewish religion. And just as Trump and Western leaders are not symbols of democracy and humanity.
