TEHRAN – The Fine Arts Department of Tehran’s Organization for the Propagation of Islamic Ideology will host a “Warzaytun” ceremony on Monday, highlighted by the unveiling of 17 new books focusing on resistance and Palestine.
The event will showcase recent publications by Amir Kabir and Sure Mehr and will focus on the struggles and sacrifices of the Palestinian people and resistance.
Although the program features prominent cultural figures, there are no speeches or formal addresses by officials or celebrities, allowing participants to focus on the book and its content.
The 17 new titles include 11 works that are part of Amir Kabir’s collection “Your Suffering Flows Through” and 6 books published by Sure-Mehr.
The 11 books in the Your Suffering Flows Through series published by Amir Kabir include Roots, The Crimson Girl, Atlas of the Zionist Regime, Shabbat Morning, Laughter under Occupation, I Am Shireen Abu Akre, The Shadow of the Key, The Chariot Under the Christmas Tree, The Eyes of Bethlehem, and The Sky Wept. And “Angel’s Mirror”.
The six titles released by Sure-Mehr include “Sumud,” “Eleven Lives,” “Gaza Feet,” “Gaza Dialect,” “Life in the 21st Century,” and “Thorns and Carnations.”
During the event, these books will be showcased through video clips, artistic presentations and radio plays.
Books on Palestine and resistance published in Iran play an important role in shaping public consciousness and promoting solidarity with the Palestinian cause.
These publications cover a wide range of genres, including historical writing, poetry, political analysis, and personal narrative, all of which emphasize themes of resistance, resilience, and justice.
They help educate readers about the struggles faced by Palestinians, highlight acts of resistance, and promote ideals of freedom and sovereignty. Through compelling storytelling and scholarly insight, these books contribute to a broader understanding of the ongoing conflict and inspire support for Palestinians in Iranian society.
