TEHRAN – Anti-war protests continue to wipe out the world as activists demand an end to the violence and oppression Palestinians face. Protesters are calling for an immediate ceasefire, lifting Israeli blockade in Gaza, and ceases from genocide and ethnic cleansing.
Protesters gather in major cities around the world, including Brussels, Manchester, Berlin, Seoul and Montreal, to express solidarity with Gaza.
In Brussels, protesters declared “We see that Palestine will be released,” and in Manchester, anti-war activists took part in a massive demonstration in Gaza calling for accountability for war crimes. Large gatherings in Pakistan have been marching thousands in support of Gaza, denounced the actions of the Zionist regime.
Student activities are particularly prominent. At Columbia University in New York City, a group of students and alumni staged sit-ins and took themselves to the campus doors to protest the threat of ousting Palestinian supporters. This symbolic act called on university management to protect the rights and safety of anti-war students.
Other notable incidents include Swedish police arresting an elderly man who was attacked for raising a Palestinian flag, but his assailant has been released, and even Europe has highlighted tensions.
The global movement calls for increased funding for Israeli US military, sales from companies profiting from the conflict, protection of anti-war activists, and increased humanitarian assistance to Gaza.
These protests reflect on the ongoing Israeli military operations and growing international protests against the broader profession, highlighting Palestinians’ solidarity with self-determination and justice.
