BRICS countries have condemned attacks on Iran, Syrian terrorism and Israel’s occupation of Syrian territory, calling Gaza an “inseparable” part of Palestine, Anadolu reported.
In a joint statement released on Sunday, the group called a military strike against Iran, indicating a violation of international law and the UN Charter.
“We condemn Iran’s military strike against the Islamic Republic since June 13, 2025. This constitutes a violation of international law and the UN Charter and expresses serious concern over the subsequent escalation of security situation in the Middle East,” the Joint Declaration read.
The statement also highlighted the need to maintain nuclear protection and security to protect people and the environment, and expressed concern over attacks on civil infrastructure and peaceful nuclear facilities under the full protection measures of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA). ??????????
“In this context, we will repeatedly support diplomatic initiatives aimed at addressing regional challenges, calling on the UN Security Council to seize this issue,” the statement read.
