At the first meeting of the BRICS-SCO Coordination Headquarters, he said, “At a time when unilateralism is widespread, BRICS and the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO), which are based on multilateralism, are a good opportunity for independent countries.”
Turning to the US and Israeli aggression against Iran, the diplomat pointed out that the country held an online meeting with the BRICS group of emerging economies and the South African countries after the US and Israeli aggression against Iran, with the latter fully condemning Iran’s aggression against Iran’s national sovereignty and territorial integrity.
Elsewhere in his remarks, Mr. Gharibabadi emphasized, “At a time when unilateralism is predominant, international organizations such as BRICS and SCO, which are based on multilateralism, are a good opportunity for independent states.”
The Deputy Foreign Minister emphasized that one of the most important reasons why Iran sought to join these organizations was the important goal of multilateralism.
