Mohammad Bagheri Ghalibaf made a statement while talking to a Tehran journalist on Saturday evening before departing on a tour of Latin America.
“We are preparing for a regular trip to Latin America. Latin America will begin as a FISRT stop in Venezuela. The trip will be held at the invitation of Rodriguez’s president of Venezuelan Parliament, whose goal is to develop relationships in the fields of economic, political and cultural.”
He said there are special features in Latin America, adding that “the region has a population of over 600 million and includes over 20 countries.”
The Iranian chairman emphasized, “The countries in this region have a positive view of Iran’s Islamic Republic on the international stage, as they all condemn unilateralism on a global level, supporting multilateralism and anti-rogative spirit.”
“This trip is therefore a good opportunity to strengthen our relationship with countries where we have a common interest and a common enemy.”
