Tehran – BRICS TV will air more than 50 hours of Iranian documentary dubbed in Russian in the fall of 2025, the network announced.
The programme highlights Iran’s history, culture and tourist attractions and is shared with partner media in the country that speaks Russian.
The agreement follows a cooperative agreement signed between Iran’s Islamic Republic Broadcasting (IRIB) and BRICS TV. Network officials said additional documentaries and animated films are also being produced, focusing on Iranian traditions, cuisine and tourism.
Masoud Ahmadvand, a cultural counselor at the Iranian Embassy in Russia, said: “The review of Russia’s Iranian film and travel programmes plays an important role in enhancing cultural dialogue and mutual understanding among our people.
BRICS TV editor-in-chief Ksenia Komissarova said the Iranian documentary will be added to the channel’s content library along with other BRICS member countries and partner productions. She said the screening is also planned at BRICS+ Cultural Media and Information Center in Moscow.
TV BRICS is scheduled to air three Iranian documentaries, including the first 12 episodes (directed by Amin Malekzadeh) of the series above, exploring the historical, natural and cultural attractions of the Republic. The network will also broadcast a two-part documentary Saffron (directed by Abdullah Had Zimohamadi) on the production of Iran’s major export goods, and Iranian travelers (directed by Jabad Galei and Hamed Jam) on Iranian heritage.
BRICS TV previously aired Dot, a documentary by Amir Valinejad that focuses on the art of Iranian calligraphy.
