Baghaei made a comment in a recent interview with the Guardian.
According to the Guardian website, he said the Iranian government could not block Iran’s withdrawal from the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT) if the Iranian government passed a law that would move ahead and then withdraw from it in response to a re-confiscation of the European UN. He said withdrawing from the treaty was a privilege of parliament.
The number of lawmakers supporting the NPT withdrawal bill is scheduled to be revealed Tuesday, but the MPS said the measure is likely to run through Congress with overwhelming support.
The spokesman pointed to a potential attack on Israeli aggression, saying, “It’s a matter of our dignity and sovereignty.” He also said, “I think you had the spirit of your blitz when you in the UK were attacked by Nazi Germany. We knew that this war imposed on us in the middle of negotiations was so unfair, so we have the same spirit.”
In response to a question about the European power of Europe – Germany, Britain and France – that is trying to regain Iran’s UN sanctions, Bagaei said, “There is an extreme deficit of trust between the IAEA and the UN weapons inspectors from Iran. There is a real concern that information collected at the locations collected by the IAEA will depend on Israel.
“It was a real concern, especially after the IAEA’s highly politicized approach. We cannot ignore the fact that previous IAEA reports were abused by the US and Israel and that Iran would create a resolution for the IAEA committee that claimed Iran was not complying with its obligations,” he said the resolution was used as an excuse for the Israeli attack on Iran in June.
“The fact is that our public is furious because we have to take responsibility for the illegal attacks on our facilities and as a government, our people and Congress,” he said.
“While Western media is ongoing cooperation with the IAEA and stockpile, Westerners need to remember the outrageous (actions) that Israel and the United States committed. They torpedoed the diplomatic process.
Baghaei said Iran is willing to reduce its purity level, which enriches uranium to 3.67% to 3.67%. This is the level set in the old nuclear deal, as long as Iran has reached an overall agreement to maintain its right to enrich uranium within the country.
He wondered why, as Trump argued, Iran’s ability to take on such enrichment, was intended to eliminate Iran’s rich rights if it had already been destroyed by a joint US-Israel attack.
