British Airways has extended cancellations of flights to and from Israeli occupied territories until the end of July.
A BA spokesman announced the decision in a statement on Saturday, confirming that the airline will not offer flights from the UK to Israel until at least August.
“We have continually monitored the operating conditions and decided to suspend flights including Tel Aviv until July 31st. We apologise to our customers for the inconvenience,” a spokesman for the BA.
Messages are listed on the route’s airline website. “Sorry, there are no flights. Please edit your search to find other routes.” The next scheduled flight from London to Tel Aviv is on August 1st.
British Airways had suspended all flights until mid-June after a Yemeni polar ballistic missile landed within the boundaries of Tel Aviv’s Ben Gurion airport, causing six people to be injured at the beginning of the month.
The airline then evacuated staff members who were staying in the city to shelter Vienna, the capital of Austria.
Several foreign airlines have also expanded cancellations of scheduled flights to Israeli occupation areas after missile attacks.
