Tehran – The Seresh Historic District is one of the ancient parts of Garden City in Natanz, Isfahan, experts from the Natanz Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts Bureau said.
Selesuk boasts many historic and tourist attractions, Majid Nouli told Isna.
The main situation in Seresh district is its proximity to the Tehran Infahan Expressway. Sereshk has historic monuments.
The Sereshk Jame ‘Mosque is a brick masterpiece that was originally constructed during the Seljuk period and renovated during the Ilhonid period.
The mosque had four rocks (porches), but now there are three porches to the north, east and west.
The precious monument consists of two upper and lower chebestans (where the main space of the mosque serves as a prayer area), while the lower shabestans is the underground space of the mosque with two eastern and western entrances suitable for the cold season.
He continued that there was a long rock (porch) 4.9 meters high above the upper Shabsenten. In fact, there is a Roman arch, the main brick dome of the mosque.
Nouri said there are brick lattice windows on the second floor of the mosque. The memorial was listed under 3251 on the National Heritage List, he said. He added that it has been revived several times by the Department of Cultural Heritage over the past few years.
He continued, when Seresh Hosseinier, a place where Shiite Muslims gather to observe religious rituals, dates back to the Safavid era. He said there are three entrances on the north, south and west wings.
Nouri pointed out that Iranian passion play Tajiye takes place in Muharam’s courtyard for 10 days each year. He said there are two streams of running water that Bahaidin Kanat water flows. He also adds that there is a tree that is 400 years old in the courtyard of Sereche Joseynier.
The old factory in Sereshk, dating back to the Qajar era, is located in the southeastern part of Hosseinieh.
He also said that Seleschuk is considered the most water-rich region of Natanz, with the largest number of aqueducts and the largest body of water. This has made Selesch the greenest neighbourhood in Natantz with the most comfortable climate, he added.
