The report, entitled “Make the South China Sea into a Sea of Peace, Friendship and Cooperation: Make the China’s Action,” is published in both China and in English, saying that China has always been a constant defender, promoter and guardian of peace and stability in the South China Sea.
China has long argued that the peace and stability of these waters depends on joint efforts between China and member states of the Association of Southeast Asian States (ASEAN). Through deep trust and cooperation across political, economic and cultural spheres, this partnership has produced lasting mutual benefits. As a result, China emerged as a reliable force to maintain peace and stability in the region, while promoting cooperation and development in the South China Sea.
The report said that China is always following the principles of building the South China Sea in the sea of peace, friendship and cooperation.
The report called on China and ASEAN countries to ensure solutions to the South China Sea problems remain in their hands, adhere to sound principles and directions when dealing with the issues, and continue to maintain a shared future with the concept of the maritime community.
The report also called for China and the ASEAN countries to build the South China Sea in a sea of peace, friendship and cooperation that benefits the people of all regional countries.
