At a press conference in Beijing on Wednesday, Guo again highlighted Beijing’s continued constructive role in promoting the reopening of talks and negotiations to reach a solution that takes into account the legitimate concerns of all parties.
The statement came the day after Tehran’s meetings with representatives from Iran, China and Russia.
China, one of the signatories of the 2015 nuclear deal, rejects pressure and threats against Iran over its nuclear program, and has repeatedly called for cooperation between the parties to arrive at diplomatic and political solutions.
The Trilateral Conference agreed on Friday that three European countries, collectively known as Iran and E3, Britain, France and Germany, will resume nuclear talks with Turkey-related Istanbul.
Talks will be the first since the Israeli regime launched an unprovoked war in mid-June, and later joined the US, bombing three Iranian nuclear sites and spurring international condemnation.
The US-Israel attacks came amid talks between Tehran and Washington, which aimed to resolve the nuclear issue and eliminate US sanctions on Iran, in violation of international law and the UN Charter.
