Iran called for a UN Security Council meeting, calling on a 15-member group to “deal with this blatant and illegal act of aggression.”
The UK ambassador called for the removal of emissions and said tensions in the West Asia region threatened regional peace.
The British representative also refused to condemn the US attack on Iran and called on Tehran to work with UN nuclear watchers.
French representatives said their country had no role in the US invasion of Iran. Paris also refused to condemn the US for its invasion of Iran, which called on Tehran to cooperate with the agency.
Chinese representatives condemned the attack on Iran and expressed concern that tensions and conflict could go out of control.
China also emphasized that the council should not be on the sidelines amidst the conflict, and that it must try to stop the war.
Beijing representatives further said, along with Pakistan and Russia, they presented a proposal to ask members to approve it to stop the conflict. He also said that actions from the US and Israeli regimes came while the doors were open for diplomacy.
The Russian representative on his part has tolerated the US irresponsible and provocative behaviour against Iran.
He said the US and Israeli aggression against Iran was violated by the law of infringement against Iran.
Moscow also said Washington has rejected the international community’s call to halt the conflict at the request of the Israeli regime.
He also said Washington refused to do diplomacy and had no interest in diplomatic resolution to the IRNA’s nuclear issue.
