According to the Anadoru Agency, Foreign Minister Wang Yi met with Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov and Kuala Lumpur Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov on Thursday to discuss a variety of issues, including Iran’s nuclear program.
According to a statement from China’s Foreign Ministry, in the Iranian attack that was attacked by Iran last month, the Wang said, “we cannot bring peace, we cannot resolve the issue, and dialogue and negotiation are fundamental methods.”
The two are in Kuala Lumpur and attend meetings with top diplomats in Southeast Asian countries, and are the first of the meeting since the US-Israel attacks with Iran, which has close ties to Beijing and Moscow.
China “lays the importance of Iran’s commitment to not developing nuclear weapons and respects Iran’s right to peacefully use nuclear energy as a party to treaties on the non-proliferation of nuclear weapons.”
They also reviewed bilateral relations and exchanged views that sought international and regional issues of common concern, including the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
