Tehran – The Iranian short film “Ramie” is written and directed by Puyan Rostami and produced by Kasla Tilsahar, and will premiere the world at the 2025 Sid-dependent Film Festival in Cincinnati, Ohio, which will take place from September 18th to 20th.
The 10-minute film takes place in the heart of the forest. There, a group of women carry cops on their shoulders, and sad women chase after them, crying and screaming. Unmoved by her cry, the woman proceeded towards the cemetery, the IRNA reported.
Salah Saki, Hala Pakisel and Ramin Yahiyazadeh perform in films representing Iranian independent films.

According to the festival’s website, diversity, equity, inclusion and access creates stronger communities, stronger learning, and stronger stories that affect our overall health and capabilities as a society. The festival seeks to serve storytellers and audience communities across regions, genres, ethnicities, genders, orientations and abilities.
The festival’s goals include deepening and expanding connections with diverse communities, cultures, languages and regions around Ohio, the United States and the world. In doing this, organizers want to increase the diversity of projects submitted for consideration in all institute programs and encourage new artists to tell stories. They strive to put resources into the hands of people whose voices are important to speak and empower by raising and removing barriers to accessing story-sharing spaces.
