TEHRAN–With the aim of honoring the literary and cultural status of modern Persian poet Mohammad Hossein Behjat Tabriz (Shahriar), a large-scale event of historical and classic Mercedes-Benz historical cars was held in Tabriz, East Azarbaijan province, in the presence of historical car enthusiasts, tourists and families.
According to Miras-e Arya (CHTN), the cultural automobile event was organized by the East Azarbaijan Automobile Tourism Vehicle Authority and held in the parking lot of the Ranik Automobile Complex in Tabriz in cooperation with the Provincial Historical Vehicle Association.
A total of 60 classic Mercedes-Benz vehicles were on display at the event. The vehicles, each with a unique design, original paint job and unparalleled technical originality, attracted the admiring gaze of visitors.
The enthusiastic attendance of people, families and enthusiasts of old and nostalgic cars gave a special atmosphere to the event, which was widely reflected in local media and social networks.
The program was held with the aim of preserving the country’s cultural and automotive heritage, promoting a culture of maintenance and restoration of historic vehicles, and enhancing automotive tourism. It was also an excuse to remember the cultural and artistic position of Master Shahriar, the national poet of Iran and a symbol of Azarbaijani identity and literature.
The organization of such a program by the East Azarbaijan Historical Vehicles and Automobile Association is carried out within the framework of the Touring and Automobile Club of the Islamic Republic of Iran (TACI) mission of developing thematic tourism, promoting safe family travel, and linking culture, art, history with the tourism industry.
