“We will soon be holding a meeting at the level of a vice minister with new EU foreign policy officials,” Baghhai said at his weekly press conference on Monday morning.
“Today and tomorrow, we are holding another tripartite meeting in Moscow, where China, Russia and Iran will discuss various aspects related to the nuclear issue, the JCPOA and resolution 2231,” he added.
The JCPOA was signed in 2015 between Iran, the UN Security Council and five permanent members of Germany. Former US President Donald Trump illegally withdraws from the contract in 2018.
Russia, the UK, Germany, China, the US and France have been in talks with Iran since April 2021 to revive the deal.
Talks to save the JCPOA began in April 2021 in the capital of Vienna, Austria’s capital.
The negotiations are stagnant due to claims against Washington’s intense position not to rule out all sanctions slapped in the Islamic Republic. Iran claims it is necessary to provide assurances that the other side will continue to commit to any agreements it has reached.
