In an interview with Tehran-based Radio Gofftego on Saturday, Esmaeli Baghhai said the country’s trust in the US government has fallen to near zero, emphasizing negotiations as a tool to achieve the rights of Iranian people.
“It is clear to everyone today that the Islamic Republic is a supporter of dialogue and diplomacy. He added that criminal action against Iran cannot be justified by legal, moral or political standards, and is a clear example of an offensive act under the UN Charter and international law.”
Iranian diplomats called Israel’s aggressiveness on Iran’s territory “unjust” and said that the attacks by the criminal Zionist regime on Iran were unanimously condemned in the region and around the world.
The criminal Israeli regime fought a war of attack on Iran’s territory midway through negotiations on Iran’s nuclear program, he said, adding that Iran is in discussions with everyone as an influential actor, while the other side questioned the logic of diplomacy and interaction.
He continued, the US government undermines the fundamental principles of diplomacy.
Elsewhere in his remarks, a spokesman for the Iranian Foreign Ministry pointed out Israel’s offensive attack on Iran, adding that on June 13 the apartheid Israeli regime had engaged in a war of attack on Iran.
The Iranian Foreign Ministry is trying to document the issue in international and human rights agencies, which the ministry has eagerly pursued, putting the US and Israeli regimes accountable for this heinous action.
