According to a Reuters report, foreign ministers of the European Union were heavily stolen the war on Saturday in Gaza, with some calling on the EU to apply strong economic pressure on Israel.
“We are split on this issue,” said EU foreign policy director Kaha Karas, who has arrived at a meeting with the minister of Copenhagen, the Danish capital.
“If you don’t have a unified voice… we don’t have a voice in the global scene on this topic, and that’s definitely very problematic,” she said.
Karas said that in order to curb Israel’s access to the EU’s research funding programme, he is “not very optimistic” that the minister could agree to the proposal she described as being generous as she is less generous than the other options.
The Zionist Israeli regime recently approved a plan to take over Gaza city north of the Gaza Strip despite international protests over a ceasefire with Hamas.
