TEHRAN – On Monday, cultural and commercial delegations from Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan toured the Fusion Arts and Handicrafts House in Tehran.
The delegation, which included prominent artisans and business representatives from two Central Asian countries, was also accompanied by Ehsan Dehkani, deputy director of handicrafts in Tehran province, CHTN reported on Monday.
The delegation’s visit was aimed at deepening cultural and artistic ties between the nations and exploring the rich world of Iranian handicrafts. The group consisted of artists and experts in traditional crafts from various fields, including miniature painting, embroidery, pottery, jewelry making, carpet weaving, and textile arts.
During the visit, the Managing Director of Fusion Arts and Handicrafts House provided a detailed overview of the facility’s projects and activities across a wide range of crafts including pottery, painting, sculpture and other traditional handicrafts. I explained.
According to the report, the residence also displayed several works created by resident artists, which were highly praised by the visiting delegation.
The visitors highlighted the artistic potential of their respective countries and emphasized the importance of cultural exchange. It also proposed holding a joint exhibition featuring artists from Iran, Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan as a way to promote mutual understanding and cooperation.
The delegation’s visit also included a tour of Iranian jewelry design studios, where various techniques such as carving, gemstone inlay and filigree were demonstrated.
Currently, 13 selected cities and three villages in Iran are registered as “World Handicraft Cities” by the World Handicrafts Council.
