TEHRAN – Ali Larijani, secretary of Iran’s highest national security council, announced on Tuesday evening that at the end of his visit to Saudi Arabia, positive results emerged from consultations with Saudi officials.
During the trip, Larijani met both Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman and Defense Minister Khalid bin Salman. He told Iranian media that various issues have been discussed, including the economy, defense and regional cooperation.
Referring to the current limited economic relations between the two countries, Larijani said the visit examined obstacles to expanding economic cooperation and explored strategies to promote regional stability.
He also confirmed that defence cooperation was reviewed, saying, “It is agreed that these efforts will be pursued through the working group.
