TEHRAN – Minister of Justice and International Affairs, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Kazem Gallibabadi held separate meetings with China and the Russian Ambassador on Wednesday to discuss the latest updates on negotiations between BRICS, the Shanghai Cooperation Agency (SCO) and Iran.
In a post on Wednesday’s X-account, Galibabadi confirmed a meeting between China’s ambassador Kong Pei and Russian Tehran ambassador Alexei Dedov.
“In the coming months, we reviewed the upcoming BRICS Summit and the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) at separate meetings with the ambassadors of Russia and China, the development and strengthening of cooperation within the framework of these two important countries,” he said.
Additionally, Galibabadi and the ambassador exchanged opinions on the recent developments of indirect consultations between Iran and the United States held in Rome. Both sides are negotiating a deal to restrict Iran’s nuclear program in exchange for the end of sanctions. Iran is in close contact with its allies about the development of negotiations.
