TEHRAN – The death toll in Gaza skyrocketed within just a few hours as Israeli occupation forces launched a fierce indiscriminate attack.
Around 50 murdered Palestinian civilians were brought to local hospitals as regime airstrikes and artillery bombardment continued throughout the besieged Gaza Strip.
Israeli fighter jets flying hard through the area are reportedly targeting civilian gatherings and homes, but ground forces continue to fire violently in several areas.
In the southern city of Khan Eunice, multiple casualties were reported after Israeli artillery fired the eastern part of the city.
Rescue squads struggled to reach the victims due to ongoing artillery fire.
Air strikes at a home in Khan Younis refugee camp killed a child and injured several others.
In another attack, the father and his daughter were killed when Israeli forces bombed a tent protecting displaced people in the Almawasi region.
Meanwhile, a massive explosion was heard in Gaza, which also informed him of the heavy bombing of Israel.
The Ministry of Health reported that 60 people have been killed and 162 injured in the last 24 hours and brought to hospitals throughout the Gaza Strip.
It remains unclear whether the latest casualties of the ongoing Israeli strike are included in the Ministry of Health victim figures.
Israeli occupation forces also destroyed several homes in the Qizan Rashwan area of Khan Yunis and destroyed thousands of acres of farmland.
In Rafa, Israeli forces flattened the entire residential block near the western schools of the city.
Reports say Israeli forces are aiming to expand their activities in southern Gaza and create corridors separating Rafa from Khan Yunis.
The campaign includes extensive destruction of homes and farmland in both areas.
As new military corridors take shape, Israeli forces are increasing their efforts to clean farmland, significantly disrupting the local food supply and deepening the humanitarian crisis.
According to the Gaza government’s media office, more than 90% of the governor’s homes of Rafa have been completely destroyed, and 85% of the area’s infrastructure has been completely destroyed.
Gaza City reported that mandatory services had collapsed. The lack of safe shelter forces many residents to return to burned-out or structurally unsafe homes.
