During a sermon in Tehran during Friday’s prayer, Hojatres Ram Haji Ali Akbari responded to illegal moves by France, Germany and the UK to reimpose Iran’s sanctions over the nuclear program.
According to Hojjatoleslam Haj Ali Akbari, the actions of the three European countries were illegal, immoral and fully politicized acts that took place under pressure from the US and Zionist regimes, and that E3 regrets becoming a Zionist proxy force and acting.
The decision will undoubtedly have consequences, affecting the process of interaction between Iran and the International Atomic Energy Agency, and also affecting international security, he warned.
The clergy went on to say that the move is a major scandal for the West and Europe, but nothing important happens to Iran.
Iran may face problems, he said, adding that Iran is always under sanctions.
At the same time, he pointed out that Iran has never been defeated by sanctions, but he has created an opportunity from them.
Elsewhere in his remarks, he mentioned Iran’s regional influence and international ties, saying, “Today, Iran’s demands and relations with great powers like China and Russia are much broader.
