“When it comes to negotiations, it is only natural that we request a citizen or a European, as it means our demands, as Americans or Europeans do not take into account the citizens or Europeans,” Fatemeh Mohajerani, spokesman for President Msoud Pezeshkian, told reporters on Wednesday.
She also said, “As the Foreign Minister (Abbas Aragut) reported, Iran announced that he was ready to hold a meeting in New York with the participation of European countries, institutions and Witkov, but they did not attend the meeting because they were not accepted by them.”
“In the beginning, the problem was talking about 60% uranium stockpile in exchange for cancelling the snapback. The complete exclusion of the snapback was an Iranian request, but the other side didn’t accept it. Initially they said it would be suspended for about six months.
“Even last night, a proposal to postpone (of snapbacks) for 45 days was proposed by Iran, which was ultimately unacceptable due to pressure from the Zionist lobby,” she said.
The spokeswoman stressed that Iranians should know that the diplomatic device has done everything they can to completely eliminate or postpone the snapback issue. However, the pressure in Zionist lobby is evident in decisions made in the US and Europe.
