The service states that it is adjacent to the source of the earthquakes of July 20, 2025 and August 17, 2024 from the southwest. The rupture was extended at least 200 km southwest along the deep sea trench axis.
Seismicologists have recorded a strong earthquake, the size of 7.1 150 km, from Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky. There, it was felt by the power of about six points, the press agency of the Kamchatka branch of the Geophysics Services of the Russian Academy of Sciences.
