The conflict between the two men, once close allies, became ugly in the beginning of June over Trump’s “big and beautiful” tax and spending bills, RT reported.
The explosion of Tesla and SpaceX CEOs came hours before Senate Republicans moved the bill slightly in a 51-49 procedural vote.
Musk takes X to condemn the law, saying, “The latest Senate draft bill will destroy jobs for millions of America and cause enormous strategic harm to our country!”
In a series of posts, he denounced bills in favour of “industry of the past” (presumably a jab for fossil fuel subsidies), and accused them of undermining future focused sectors such as renewable energy and technology.
Musk argued that the bill’s $5 trillion debt cap would place the United States in “fast lanes of debt slavery.”
After leaving Government Efficiency (DOGE), Musk criticized the bill’s impact on the deficit, calling it “unpleasant and hateful.”
Trump retaliated with accusing the mask of having sour grapes over the lost electric vehicle subsidies. This is a reference to the federal incentives that benefited Tesla. Trump convicted pedophile Jeffrey Epstein, and while Trump considered cutting back on SpaceX contracts, escalated by hinting that he had connections with the deceased financier. Musk then apologizes and suggests that Trump can forgive him.
