TEHRAN – During the 15th session of the Asian Parliamentary Congress held in Baku on Wednesday, Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bakar Karibah strongly argued that the future of Palestine will not be determined by the US or other colonial forces.
He emphasized that the right to self-determination lies only on the Palestinian people.
In his speech, Karibah acknowledged the important challenges Palestinians faced, especially in the wake of the continued violence inflicted by the Israeli regime.
Despite the genocide committed by the Zionist regime, the Resistance Front said it was able to impose a strategic defeat on Israel. He further criticised the United States and its allies, observing that despite military and strategic failures in Gaza and Lebanon, they have not stopped efforts to undermine regional stability. Instead, they are coordinating new political plots to promote their own agenda.
Karibahu also expressed strong opposition to a recent statement by US President Joe Biden.
He described these statements as continuation of colonialism’s ideology and as blatant examples of continued violations of Palestinian rights. “The statement regarding the forced rule of Gaza and the movement of the Palestinian people reflects a disregard for the rights of Palestinians,” he said.
In his speech, the Iranian chairman criticized former US President Donald Trump’s Western Asia peace plan, labeling it as a form of ethnic cleansing and modern profession.
He described Trump’s plan as an apartheid initiative designed to coincide with Zionists’ interests aimed at eroding Palestinian identity and restraining their will. Kalibahu warned that such inhumane policies could further destabilize the region and exacerbate the existing crisis.
Theor’s politicians reiterate Iran’s firm stance on plans to ignore the will of the Palestinians, reaffirming that Gaza and Palestinian futures should be determined by the Palestinians themselves, through their own votes and decisions. I did.
He said, “The only way to resolve the current crisis in West Asia is to create a complete and sustainable establishment of Gaza, to withdraw Zionist occupation forces from Palestinian, Lebanese and Syrian lands, and to immediately hinder humanitarian aid. It is not through births. What’s more, the safe and unlimited return of Palestinian refugees is essential.”
In Congress, Karibah also highlighted the important role of Asia in fostering a new era of peace, security and multilateral cooperation. He emphasized the importance of collaboration to create mechanisms that promote trade, investment and infrastructure development, seeking stronger trade and economic relations among Asian countries. According to Karibahu, such cooperation is essential to achieving inclusive growth and ensuring the development of all countries in the region.
Karibah pointed out that Iranian parliament has consistently defended multilateralism within the Asian parliament. He reaffirmed Iran’s commitment to promoting sustainable cooperation across the region and ensuring that all Asian countries benefit from such cooperation.
