In a Saturday’s X account post, Rabib wrote: “The Israeli security cabinet’s decision to expand military operations at #Gaza will further exacerbate the already devastating humanitarian situation and put the lives of the remaining hostages at risk.”
She said, “An immediate ceasefire is essential, along with the unconditional release of all hostages and the massive distribution of humanitarian assistance in full compliance with international humanitarian law.”
“There is no alternative to the two state solution,” she further noted.
The remarks came after Israeli security ministers approved a plan by government prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Friday for a full occupation of Gaza city.
Australia, Germany, Italy, New Zealand and the UK also strongly condemned the Israeli government’s plans in a joint statement.
Since October 2023, the Israeli regime has killed more than 61,300 people in the war of massacres in Gaza, pushing the enclave to the brink of hunger.
