Pakistan Senate member Arama Raja Nasir Abbas Jafari described Ayatollah Khamenei as a marja (religious authority) who is both a religious leader and political leader.
He pointed out that religious authorities say that anyone who threatens their leaders is God’s enemy and that anyone who says death in Islam is.
Between June 13th and 24th, Israel launched blatant and unprovocative attacks on Iran, assassinating many high-ranking military commanders, nuclear scientists and ordinary civilians.
On June 22, the United States also jumped on the bandwagon and bombed three Iranian nuclear sites with serious violations of the UN Charter, international law, and the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT).
During the 12-day war, US President Donald Trump claimed that Ayatollah Khamenei was a “easy target.”
Israeli Benjamin Netanyahu also ranted that the assassination of Ayatollah Khamenei would “end” the war.
Pakistani senators said Trump and Netanyahu should know that if an attack is made, it will not only be an attack on Iran, but all Muslims in the world will respond to it.
“We will also respond in Pakistan. If such actions are taken, Americans will not remain in Pakistan. If they (Trump and Netanyahu) do not comply with any law, we will not be silent,” he added.
On Sunday, Iranian senior clergy Grand Ayatollah Nasser Makalem Shiraj and Grand Ayatollah Hossein Nouri Hamedani issued religious decrees against attacks or threats against Ayatollah Khamenei.
They said those who threaten or attack leadership and religious authority to infringe the Islamic Umma and its sovereignty or attack the attack are subject to a verdict of conflict.
