Tehran – Nasser Absharif, representative of Iran’s Islamic jihad, said in a recent meeting with various Iranian officials that Iran’s long-standing unanimous commitment has been awaited by Palestine across political, diplomatic and military facilities. He said he reaffirmed his commitment to the cause.
“During my recent trip to Iran, I had the opportunity to meet prominent political and military figures, from the President and Foreign Minister to the IRGC and the National Security Council Secretariat,” Abu Sharif said in the Tehran Times. I stated in my remarks. . “The commonality of all these meetings was that Palestinians clearly and clearly emphasized their legitimate rights to protect themselves and to confront the Zionist occupation, which is also guaranteed by international law and customs. Masu.”
Abu Sharif observes Iran’s commitment to providing comprehensive support for the Palestinian struggle and beyond spiritual or political measures, all facing Gaza, the West Bank and occupation. It added that it has expanded the inclusion of material support aimed at strengthening Palestine’s resilience in the region. “Indeed, these unified and powerful positions in the entire political and military system of Iran are what we say about our support of the Islamic Republic for our cause is strategic and based on a long-term vision. It strengthened our confidence. What we understood is that this support is not subject to change in interests or conditions,” he pointed out.
For decades, Iran has supported Palestinian struggle against Israeli occupation as part of the axis of resistance. During Israel’s latest war in Gaza, Iran was the main voice of diplomatic relations, urging action against Israel, but the call was largely ignored by other regional states. Tehran had proposed a temporary resignation with Israel to stop violence in Gaza.
Furthermore, in 2024, Iranian forces directly targeted Israel’s position in the occupied territory, describing it as the largest missile and drone attack in history. Iran also provides support to other resistance groups supporting the Palestinians, including Yemen’s Ansarrah, Lebanon’s Hezbollah and the Iraqi army.
Before meeting with some senior officials, Islamic jihad held a meeting between the leader of the Islamic Revolution and the leader of the Islamic Revolution who had seized Ali Khamenei in his private office in Tehran. Abu Sharif described the discussion with the group’s leader as very “positive” and “heartedly.”
“His encounter with the well-known Ayatollah al-Uzma Seyed Ali Khamenei was very sincere and focused in particular on the issue of Palestinianism. He said he had deep concerns about the Palestinian cause. Feeling, I appreciate the role of resistance in Gaza and the West Bank as a formidable barrier to Zionist occupation and apartheid policies,” the envoy explained.
An important part of Ayatollah Khamenei’s statement focused on the importance of unity among different Palestinian factions. “He stressed the importance of internal unity amongst resistance groups and insisted on being vigilant against a variety of conspiracies, including efforts to forcibly drive away the Palestinians and to completely erase the Palestinian issues. In terms of view, internal unity is a solid shield for the oppressed Palestinian state and its heroic resistance to occupation and Zionist crimes.”
Abu Sharif overall said that the conference in Tehran gave Islamic jihad more confidence than continuing his fight against Israeli occupation. “By a constant resolve, we will continue on the path of resistance until the land is fully freed.”
