Tehran – Sepidan in Fars province is a huge tourist potential city that has encouraged state officials to introduce their agenda to be introduced as a special tourist destination in southern Iran.
Sepidan is located 65 km west of Shiraz. There are tall trees, green trees, mountains, and roon fountains.
It is a destination for many domestic tourists, not only foreign tourists from Arab countries in the Persian Gulf.
Referring to the specific altitude and proximity to the equator of the Sepidan, tourism activist Amin Sarahi believes that the mountains around Sepidan are feeding three major basins and rivers of Kalone, Fariyan and kor.
Sarahi, a skilled climber, also said that about 30 peaks, over 3,000 meters tall, receive snow and rain from these three forks from the sky.
The city is home to the southernmost ski resorts of the Northern Hemisphere. It’s sunny and there’s no wind for more than 70% of the time it’s suitable for skiing.
He continued that there are homes in Ardakan and many Sepidan villages that can be transformed into ecotourism sites. The presence of brick and stone buildings, with a variety of handicrafts, shows a beautiful tourist image of the city.
The prerequisite for the prosperity of tourism in Sepidan city is to train and promote tourism culture to people and visitors, he said.
Governor Sepidan also said the city boasts more than 35 tourist areas. Ali Alizadeh added that one of the most important issues for Sepidan’s tourism development is attracting domestic and foreign investors.
He said that if investors are involved in Sepidan, tourists are being offered pleasant services.
Tourism prosperity leads to economic growth, lower unemployment, rising income levels and a market boom, he added.
Alizadeh said one of the challenges facing the tourism industry in Sepidan is failing to register tourism documents. Many responses have been implemented, but the desired results have not been achieved to transform the city into a special tourist zone in southern Iran.
He called Margoon and Chikan Falls, Tange Martzban and Tange Morvalid, Mount Belham Firoose and the Celega Recreation Site the main tourist destinations of Sepidan.
This year, Sepidan was designated as the top tourist district during his Knowles holiday, he said.
Sepidan’s population is 52,000, of which 70% live in the villages, while the rest live in the cities of Ardakan and Homer.
