TEHRAN – Farsan County in Chaharmahar Bakhtiari province has been selected to hold a national festival for Iranian clans, the state tourism director said.
Speaking at the gathering to coordinate the festival, Alireza Jeylan said the festival will be held later in the Iranian month in Shahrivar with the participation of clans from various states.
He explained that the national festival of Iranian clans, hosted by Fasan County and Chaharmahar Bakhtiari Province, has been registered on the national festival calendar.
Jeylan emphasized that this year’s event should be held with better plans.
Fasan Country is located in the mountainous regions of the north and northwest segments of Chaharmahal Bakhtiari Province. It is located 35 km from Shahr-e-Kord and 578 km from Tehran.
Fasan city is one of the important summer locations of the Bakhtiyari people, with excellent weather conditions as they are located in the middle of the inner range of the Zagros Mountains.
People are mostly bakhtiari and they believe that the city comes from the Behadal Band clan. However, through urbanization, it has become a destination for many immigrants from nearby villages and towns. They speak in Bakhtiari, which includes many Pahravi and Abestan words. A unique sight to see in the Fasan region is the seasonal travel and viewing of Bakhtia, leading to different experiences in the eyes of new people.
In seasonal travel, all the family traits are also carried along with horses, with green grasslands for sheep and goats along the way, shepherds play Nay, cinemas, traditional group dances, talkebaji (traditional games), local folklore.
