Tehran – Medicine as a strategic product can become a safe issue during a crisis. According to Mehr’s news agency, Iran has recently witnessed the Zionist regime attacks in several parts, so the issue of supplying important drugs is extremely important. Patients are worried that the medication won’t reach them.
In this regard, a special measures task force has been launched by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA). The administration’s senior officials are monitoring the medical market in joint sessions with the management and supervision of pharmaceutical and medical device companies.
Referring to the targets of the enemy’s hybrid war to create psychological anxiety and disrupt the supply chain, Food and Drug Director Medi Pilsalehi said:
He said that interruptions in serving the public are unacceptable, and that the FDA will meet its obligation to support all sections of the supply chain to protect the health of society under any circumstances.
Salman Es’haqi, spokesman for the Majlis Health and Treparts Commission, said: “Fortunately, we can inform people today that our inventory of medicines, equipment and medical supplies is in very good condition. With the wisdom of the leaders of the revolution, Ayatollah Seyeed Ali Khamenei witnessed the supply of supplies last year, the supplier. Exchange, and this measure had a major impact on the increase in drug stock.”
He also said that all medical devices are available throughout the hospital and support the area due to normal crisis and critical conditions.
After visiting the medical centre and assessing the health sector, members of the Majlis Health and Treatment Commission have concluded that the situation is being managed very well and can say with confidence that the country’s health sector is fully prepared.
Meanwhile, Pirsalehi highlighted the need to maintain full preparation of staff management and food and drug sectors for the emergency supply of medical, medical devices and other health-related items. He urged all respected managers to constantly monitor drug supply and report possible drug shortages to the Food and Drug Administration.
Continuous and sustainable supply of medicines and critical products, prevent shortages in medical centers and respond quickly to patient needs is the main focus of the Food and Drug Director’s order to relevant managers.
Hadi Ahmadi, a member of the Iranian Pharmacists Association’s Chairpersons Committee, said the supply of medicine is sufficient and there is no concern in this regard.
The only problem is the liquidity of the pharmacy, unfortunately, not in good condition.
He added that “basic insurance companies are at least four months behind in paying pharmacies.”
You should not be concerned about a shortage of medication, as you can conclude from the statements of the health care administrator. This is because more than 97% of the country’s drug needs are secured domestically. Necessary measures have been taken for imported drugs. We are witnessing a stockpile of important medicines.
What worries me is the rush of some people to pharmacies to stock up on pharmacies, not only do they even reach the consumption stage, but also to raise public anxiety and concern. Therefore, the provision of medicines should not exceed actual needs.
