At a joint economic meeting with the Deputy Governor for Economic Affairs of Gilan Oblast, Foreign Minister Ruslan Gainedinov pointed out the high capacity for product exchange between the two countries and pointed out that the development of trade and economic cooperation with Iran in the two fields of industry and agriculture is the main goal of the Russian side.
He emphasized that Ulyanovsk Oblast is ready to transport and export various types of goods and goods to regional markets.
Grains and vegetable oil are the most important commodities that can be exchanged between the two countries in the agricultural sector, he said.
The Ulyanovsk Oblast Governor’s Advisor pointed out Iran’s high potential and capabilities in petrochemicals, plastics industry and other industrial products, and emphasized that many Iranian products, including tea and citrus fruits, are exchangeable between the two countries.
He added that during the talks, an agreement was reached to launch the first commercial ship between ports in northern Iran, especially Astara and the port of Ulyanovsk in the Russian Federation, in the first three months of the next Iranian calendar year.
