Iran was too strong for Puerto Rico in its second match at the 2025 FIVB Volleyball Men’s U21 World Championship on Friday.
The Iranian team faced no difficulty in getting Mathc in three straight sets (25-14, 25-14, 25-9) in the Central American country.
The Iranian National U21 men’s volleyball team, which is in Group B of the tournament alongside Poland, Canada, South Korea, Puerto Rico and Kazakhstan, will face South Korea tomorrow (Saturday, September 1st) at 6:30am.
Iran defeated Kazakhstan 3-1 (25-19, 21-25, 25-23, 25-17) in their first match on Thursday.
They are divided into 4 pools of six for the first stage of the round robin. The top four of each pool progressed to the 8th Final, with the winners reaching the quarterfinals, and the losers continue to playoffs from 9th to 16th.
The lower two teams in the classification of each pool contest coincides with positions 17th-24th. All teams will play until the final day, creating a perfect ranking from the start to the 24th.
