The factory in Singwara village in Rambi constituency owned by one TATRSEM SINGH, has been reduced to Kura Rub due to the strength of the explosion. The blast’s power was so intense that it knocked down the entire double-storey structure and locked many people under the shards.
The identity of the deceased has not been confirmed yet. Most of the factory workers were immigrants from Uttar Pradesh and Bihar.
According to Deputy Police Chief of Police (DSP) Jaspar Singh, the rambi, the explosion occurred between midnight and 1am. “Our team arrived there without delay. So far, we have recovered five bodies from the debris and rescue operations are underway to ensure no one else is trapped,” he told the Indian Express.
“Nearly 34 people have been injured and referred to various hospitals. Some will be admitted to civil hospitals in Badal, while others are being treated at AIIMS in Basinda. According to current reports, they are all in stable condition.”
