Pakistan’s Prime Minister said at a meeting with Iranian Foreign Minister in Islamabad that his country is determined to work closely with Iran to achieve peace, stability and development in the region.
Abbas Araguchi has on his side a warm greeting to the Pakistan Prime Minister from the Islamic Revolution and other high-ranking Iranian authorities leaders, expressing Iran’s commitment to strengthening relations with Pakistan and playing a role in establishing peace and stability in South Asia.
Iran’s Foreign Minister also held a meeting with Pakistan President Asif Ali Zardari while in Islamabad.
During the day’s trip, Araguchi also held consultations with Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mohammad Ishaq Dal.
According to a press release from Pakistan’s Foreign Ministry, Araguchi and Dah placed a premium on the need to continue to work closely together to increase mutual understanding.
They said they exchanged opinions on key regional and international development and reaffirmed their shared commitment to peace and stability in the region.
According to the ministry, Aragut said Iran is keen to further strengthen ties with Pakistan.
